HOUSTON YC Midwinter Regatta 18 Feb
We arrived early for 0845 skippers meeting, 1st gun at 1000. Blowing 15-20 at 0745, 38°, beach launch so going to be wet right from the start. The breeze did lay down and after the 1st race was more like 5-10kts. Very close series, I was OCS 1st race. Went back after figuring it out about 100yds up 1st beat. Dave Ryden sailed a great series to win, I was 2nd and Art Cayer sailed very well for 3rd place. Josh

The Sunfish US SW championship was held at Lake Worth Sailing Club 7-8 Sept. We had 20 boats pre registered and 16 made it to the starting line. Saturday brought 12- 15 knots gusting into mid 20's and shifty. Sunday was the opposite with 0-8 knots and very shifty. The regatta came down to the last race between Steve Flunker and Josh Rubin with Steve ultimately winning. 3rd place went to Antonio Saileca from Venezuela, 4th to Art Cayer from Seabrook and 5th was a tie between Scott Shirley and Raymond Marks with the tie breaker going to Scott.
